Privacy Policy

Piped is a desktop application published by SOLD MY STUFF HERE LLC, dba Piped Creations (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what the app and this website collect. Piped is a local-first tool: most of your data never leaves your machine.

What stays on your device

• Your API keys. Model, voice, and gateway keys you enter are stored in your operating system’s credential store and used to call the providers you configure. We never receive or store them.
• Your code, terminals, tickets, and project memory. These live in local files and a local database on your machine.
• Microphone audio. Captured only while the voice feature is active and sent directly to the speech provider you configure. We do not record or retain your audio.

What we collect

• Your account. If you create one, your email address and the identity provider you signed in with (Google or GitHub), handled by our authentication provider [Clerk].
• Licence activation. When a copy of Piped is activated it sends your account id, a machine identifier, the machine’s name, the app version, and the platform — so a subscription can be tied to the devices using it and you can revoke one. It sends nothing else: not your workspace names or paths, not file contents, not terminal output, not your prompts, and not your keys.
• Billing. Payments are processed by Stripe. We store your Stripe customer id and subscription status; we never see or store your card details.
• Waitlist email. If you join the list on this site we store your email address to tell you about launch. Unsubscribe any time.

What we do not do

We do not sell your data. We do not resell model tokens. We do not collect usage analytics or telemetry from the app. We do not access your code or your keys.

Third-party providers

When you use your own keys your requests go to those providers under their terms (for example [Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, your voice provider]). [List and link.]
